How Instituto InvestBrasil works internationally
Instituto InvestBrasil carries out institutional cooperation with embassies, consulates, chambers of commerce, investment promotion agencies, international organisations, companies and other strategic entities, through agreements, memoranda of understanding, missions, projects and joint programmes.
The institution may nominate and recognise qualified professionals for roles in representation, coordination, economic cooperation, trade, investment and international relations, always in accordance with the law applicable in each country and the powers set out in its Statute.

Is an Economic Diplomacy Advisor an official diplomat?
The designation of Economic Diplomacy Advisor is an institutional role tied to Instituto InvestBrasil, under its internal rules and statutory powers.
This designation does not in itself confer the status of official diplomatic agent, diplomatic immunity, a diplomatic passport or any prerogative reserved for representatives formally accredited by governments.
Any appointment to or recognition of an official diplomatic, consular or government post depends exclusively on the procedures, authorities and legislation of the respective State.
